His orbs were like sunrise. A welcoming color in his old eyes. His tail flickered back and forth that morning. He was not sure himself what he was doing out on the moor this morning. The fog had recently settled, and it added a lovely touch to the area. His eyes closed as he took in the fresh scent. He chuckled absentmindedly to himself. He hadn't realized the foolishness of his action. Shystars mother wasn't alive anymore, he had no need to be here. A low growl erupted in his belly. He looked down, his eyes were open now, rather wide."I guess it's time for breakfast. Ol' Pepper what are you in a mood for today. Perhaps a rabbit.... oh how a squirrel would be a delicacy today to."
He stood up and as he did so he had slight pain in his legs. He grumbled something to himself and shook it off. He wasn't a good hunter no more. He crouched low and realized that his tail layed lopsided in the air."Well that ain't gonna work now is it Pepper?" He laughed again amused by the looks of his own tail. He couldn't help it. He was amused so easily now. Perhaps it was because of his seniority."You have had way to many poppy seeds in your time Mr. Pepper. You are indeed clinically insane"
His white and orange pelt ruffled as he tried the hunting stance again. This time around his tail was fine. He nodded, proud that he had gotten some where today. His nose twitch as he moved forward . He sneezed and continued on. He spotted his meal a young field mouse. Oh how good that would be in his belly. He pounced unaware of his horrid skill. However, it caught his breakfast he would give it that much. He parted his jaws and dug his teeth into the flesh his meal. It seemed like he hadn't had one this good since the days of the leaders mother.
"That was the most graceful hunt you have ever had. Perhaps you are just just not ready to hunt. Its probably because it was to early. That's just like you Pepper blame it on the time. The time is easily blamed for everything I suppose. When he was done with his meal he stood up. Where to go next was next on his mind....he probably wouldn't figure it out until after his next meal....
