riptide is extremely talented and bright. she is cunning and always keeps her wits about her. she has a sharp eye and notices details that other cats don't. she is a very fast cat, and works well in lots of terrains, including marsh, moor, and woodland. she also works well in the dark of night. she an efficient hunter and a gentle fighter.

she has a strong sense of clan pride, and defends with the ferocity of a lioness. she is extremely loyal, to a point where sometimes the smallest remark she views as an insult. she is also extremely kind to those she does not view as a threat to her clan. and she values friendship highly, though it takes a lot for her to trust you completely. she is also very stubborn. she can talk almost anyone down, including herself. she has a lot of fire, and sees everyone as equals, and so has no problem challenging her elders and her leader.

though she is great at many things, riptide also has a temper. and when it is called upon, it shows itself. and is known to be quite dangerous. she also loves to chat, and so can talk with just about anyone. however she is also known as a 'silent warrior', which means that when she fights she is silent unless she is supposed to say something.

she has her faults and she has her strengths. but then she has some gray areas. such as family. she feels as though she has no time for a family, or love. and she is also very cautious of who she close to. she is also sensitive about her parentage, since her parents were a forbidden union. she also knows she has a brother, but known of this would ever get in the way of her clan. she is also unsure about how she would feel as to being a mother. she likes to be on the move and likes to have her time devoted fully to the clan, and hardly to herself. bearing kits would take up too much time and feeling for her.

to start out. riptide is an obvious beautiful. she from the sound of her voice and her laugh you can tell she will have a profile to match. she is a very gallant type of cat, and so the very abstract nature and blatantness of her being coincides with her persona. she is daring and not afraid of anything, and therefore the very obvious splash of color from her eyes matches up with this.

her fur is a soft texture. it is short and thickens out, making her look ever-so-slightly-broader in the winter. in the summer she is reduced to an extremely thin coat, and sheds horribly. due to this, a very defined set of muscles glimmers through her pelt. despite the extremeness of her coat she keeps it in top condition, if not for looks, but for the ease of swim and hunt and fight. to go with her watery home, her fur is usually slick and a little damp, though resiliant to water. she favors fish as her meal choice if only to improve the sleek coat that protects her from the water, which she loves.

starting with her paws... her hind left paw and her fore right paw are bathed in a soft white. while her other two paws are soaked with a deep ebony that stretches up all four legs, minus the back part of her right back leg that has a match of white. on her back she is cloaked completely in black apart from the side that rises up from her chest on the left side, and touches her shoulder in a narrow strip. her tail is covered solely in soot-black. her neck has a dab of white on the left side, just an inch back from her chin. her chin is solely white, with a smudge of black on the left side, right below her small mouth. the white the extends up between her eyes and ends at her eyebrow height, and then this too is descended in onyx.

her eyes are surrounded by a tarish looking rim before it drops into a thin layer of black. this black quickly fades into a lemony green that has darker rivets in it. these continue on steadily until reaching a middle point where the eyes is briefly touched by a simmering black spark of iris. her eyes are shaped like small, round, plump almonds. and the outer corners are tilted up a bit, towards her ears.

she has a very steady frame. she is extremely fit, however, she is slender. she isn't to be called stocky, or very thin. while her fame gives off a gentle, womanly touch to her. rounded shoulders and less angular face. she is also coated by a shield of muscle which bulks her up a little and adds a little angle to her curve. her sides are flat, but its hard to tell since she is usually breathing hard. her tail is long for balance. and her legs stretch long and sure, as she is one of the fastest runners outside of windclan.

It started when Robincall, an eager, and slightly air-headed socialite of Riverclan met Stonewater at a gathering. Robincall was known for being cheerful, and making anyone a brighter person. Stonewater was known for being, well... Hardly known. When she met him she decided that she was going to change him, no matter what it took. At first he found her annoying and soon after found her endearing and fell for her, though they only saw each other when they both attended gatherings or on patrols. slowly, he began to share his feelings with her. Robincall was surprised, and then remembered her promise to herself. she would do whatever it took. Of course, this she had to talk herself into. This is where Riptide got her trait from... Her mother, knew the feels were mutual in her heart, but declared to herself audibly that it was to make him a better person.

Strange as it was, they fell into a pattern of seeing each other outside of gatherings and patrols, not truly awknowledging that what they were doing was treason to the code. One day in the heart of winter, Robincall told Stonewater that she would be having kits. Upset he lashed out, until Robincall told him that they were his kits. Though slightly ashamed of his rash behavior (where Eaglefin gets his from) he was nonetheless overjoyed. it then occurred to him that she was having his kits, another tom from another clan's kits. He became worried and protective of her. Robincall soon spent as much time out of camp as possible.

She hid her pregnancy up to two months before. Then people started asking questions. She then claimed that some mysterious cat had done this to her one night. Everyone sympathized. When the kits were born she told Stonewater and told him of the story she had spread. When the kits were made into apprentice and named Rip-paw and Eaglepaw Robincall claimed she had found the tom who had impregnanted her. She then told Rip-paw the true story and gave them a choice of where to go. A little infuriated, Eaglepaw left to be with his father and Rip-paw stayed. Strangely, neither of the siblings were extremely close and didn't feel a big loss when they left.

Several moons later, Rip-paw became Riptide and Eaglepaw became Eaglefin. Each loyal to their clans. Robincall died a moon after that of old age, and a slight illness. Stonewater died in a freak storm, saving two kits from the flooding river. Eaglefin took the death very harshly and grew close to Riptide only then, and then drifted apart from her as he regained his strength. But, before his father died, he mated with another she-cat who was from his clan. Between them they had one kit, now named Ospreypaw. Though Eaglefin has a hard time accepting her, Riptide loves her as a sister, but keeps her at a distance. At their parents death, Riptide told her clan of her true heritage.
