After having done what he had done with the deepest of secrecy he returned to his camp. A brave and flawless warrior. That made him laugh but he was good at tricking these cats and there was no evidence that he had killed Liftedstar or Rosie. It was flawless, with the kit that was"saved" and the fox that he had fought it was perfect.
He set Clawkit down and looked down at her with sorrowful eyes, "Stay with me."
Before he started to pad away toward the Highledge he looked at the warriors before him. He chose some and spoke quietly to them, "Go to the beach and deal with what you find there." When they had returned with two bodies he nodded toward them. As he starred upon all he padded up to the Highledge and yowled to everyone, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highledge for a Clan meeting."
The ritual words he spoke came off smoothly as he felt the pelt of the kit beside his. He looked at all with sorrowful eyes as he went on, "Liftedstar and Rosie are dead," he meowed loudly, now feeling the stings from the fox bites of his own. He sighed and then lifted his voice again, "Before he died he told me his one wish," he could have told them that Liftedstar wanted him to be leader instead of Lionglory but he wasn't an idiot. His voice rang again, so that all could hear him, "That you would all know that this kit standing beside me is his own daughter! His love was Rosie. He has told me to take good care of her," he meowed as he curled his tail around her to pull her closer, "I will be keeping a close eye on her from now on."
Her eyes looked up at him and she nodded so silently. As she followed she kept her head down. Why was everyone looking at them like they were? It was a little odd to hear the deepness of Sandheart's voice right beside her. Her heart almost stopped when he pulled her closer now. She looked up at him with her amber eyes so sorrowful. He was so kind but strong, he did no wrong but fixed it. How could she not feel all fluttered inside by this strong tom? But then the same question came about by Redpaw. How could she be in love with such an ambitious and forbidden tom?
These questions held to her even as she leaned on Sandheart's muscle infested-side. Her light brown fur ruffled with his sandy-colored fur.
