...BRAMBLEFIRE...
His eyes peered through the thicket. His pelt rippled as one paw slowly touched the ground as he made his way inching closer to the small morsel of prey that could be tasted from the distance. He could feel his own stomache lurching with the scent of the bird that lay before him. Just a little bit forward. He jumped in the air soaring until his claws snagged the birds feather. He finished it with a swift bite before carefully placing it back to the ground. His eyes glowed brightly. He had caught something. Leafbare was harsh and many cats would have to be proving themselves worthy this season.
His bengal pelt bristled. Was something watching him. He lowered himself to the ground carefully as not to disturb the beautiful snow flakes. He scanned the forest area. Nothing? No one. He could not see, nor scent anyone in the area. But the fur on the back of his neck began to rise."Who's there?" His tone was soft and full of worry. Bramblefire stood up now waiting to see if his invisible attacker was real.

Dark, yet bright, amber eyes glittered in the frosted morning. It was hard for him not to grin, if all his Clanmates were like this he would be able to kill them in a times notice. Well, he had been practicing more and he always was strong, more than enough training was more than enough worth it. Liftedstar would soon be dead and all of this would be over, even if he wasn't deputy yet. He had the whole Clan believing him, that he had changed and that he was loyal and great. He couldn't really argue with the great part in his head but he himself knew that he wasn't loyal.
When Bramblefire finally said something he grinned, his sparkling teeth showing. He came from the trees and the bushes with a smile on his face, kind and strong, "It's only me Bramblefire," he said happily, "You don't have to worry."

The white she-cat appeared as if from nowhere. Taintedheart padded toward the two toms who stood quietly. "Hello Sandheart, hello Bramblefire."

His eyes sparkled with lightness as he saw the beautiful she-cat pad towards them. Such elegance, how could someone not love her? It was hard to think of so he shook it out of his head as he spoke, "Hello Taintedheart."

Taintedheart nodded at Sandheart's greeting before looking at Bramblefire, once again avoiding eye contact with the cat she was falling for. "What are you two up to?"

...BRAMBLEFIRE...
Bramblefire flicked his ears. It had only been two of his clan mates. His stomache grumbled before burrying his prey."Hunting for the clan. I told Lionstar I would go out on a patrol for him. He hasnt handled the death of his leader very well. I thought I would invite my apprentice but until the foxes are gone I thought it was best to keep an apprentice who isn't trained to fight away from danger." He mewed looking at Sandheart."I figured I would releive Banditstrike of deputy stess by investigating and hunting on my own. However the scent is stale where they were said to be." He shrugged and shook snow off of his coat."Your welcome to join me. I could use the company."

To have the one who planned it out there? It was amazing that he had hid his scent so well from when he had lured the hungry foxes into their territory. He had been the one that killed Liftedstar and Rosie but the whole Clan trusted him and to make things better, their daughter practically worshiped him and it wasn't like their dead spirits would come down and say something. With a slight flick of his tail he sighed, "I don't think I can say that I have taken it very well either," he meowed softly, "It is obvious that Clawpaw wouldn't take it well, she never did know. Poor little she-cat has grown so close to me, it's hard to shake her at some points."
Another sigh later and then he was smiling at the tom before him, "Sure," he meowed, "I will be happy to join you."
