abyss leaped up onto the high rock, his massive form casting a shadow over the ground beneath him. many of you have heard, he began softly, of creekstar's disappearance. the current deputy's tail lashed at his leaders...betrayal as he saw it. and many of you are confused, i am certain. i am now the leader and... there was a pause as his blue orbs scanned the clearing beneath him. no one will be deputy until someone proves themself worthy.

Mintleaf's eyes sparkled brightly. She knew Abyss would make a rather great leader. However Creekstar had just recently made her a warrior before she vanished and knew that without have having an apprentice she would be nothing.
Noblesprirt raised a brow. Curious as to what was going on."What a great leader we have. He thinks none of us our worthy to lead with him. How kind. Your going to end up ruining our clan yet with your foolish bloodclan ways." Noblesprirt walked to the back of camp where many of clan mates had joined him.
Distantice was one of them. He could not believe what he was hearing. Moonhigh would be around soon yet no deputy would be picked until some cat proved themselves really. A real leader would already have had this figured out by now. He scuffled away not voicing his own opinions. He did not dare to soeak out against his own leader.
Tigershadow narrowed his amber eyes. Abyss was strong, but he was too young and not yet ready to lead."Abyss Pick a cat they do not have to be worthy, but a cat who you can trust and lead with you. A deputy does not have to have skill!" A few of Tigershadows friends nodded in agreement but who would dare tp speak out against a bloodclan feline?
Cinderflight perked her eyes not sure of what to do or say. She knew eventually that Abyss would lead the clan. She sniffled and waited to see what everyone else would do."Abyss will you have Star at the end of your name?" She did not want to argue with a leader, however she didn't care when the deputy was picked as long as someone took in the spot."Just curious..."

no, i will not recieve the title of star. abyss if sufficient and is the only name i have ever known. he said, eyes narrowed in utter defeat. this leader stuff wasn't what he had expected. the deputy, he said almost pre-seeing the outbreak of arguements, will be hauntedpaw. until a warrior is ready. to abide by your code.

The gray tom pressed his pelt against cinderflight.SHe stood up and whispered something so only she could hear. When Cinderflight nodded he stood up and spoke."Abyss. i'm listening. he growled through clenched teeth. this over-ride the leader thing was getting under his skin.
OOC;; blackie already has a leader and a deputy(?) and a medicine cat and Bane...so It can't be Cinderflight.

ooc:Blackie has the same ammount of high positions as you do. Im just trying to add to the mix since there aren't many cats in riverclan.
Flurrycloud nodded. He watched his mate carefully who gave him the nod of approval."Abyss...actually I don't think I should be your deputy. I am still very young and would like to be a father and train a second apprentice."However I know a greater female cat who I think would much better suit the position." HE paused not wanting to say much." I think You know who I am speaking of...and I do not think she will be proud of an apprentice being a deputy. Maybe you should ask her yourself. After all you are her mate."

abyss hissed loudly and threateningly at the mention of his mate. how do you know? he asked, jumping down from his place and coming within inches of Flurrycloud. his heart raced and his ears burned with fury and confusion.

ic: Flurrycloud sighed and looked to the nursery where she had kept the she-cat hidden." I found her outside of our territory last evening. She told me she was on her way home after she had met with you to let her friends know where she would be. She was bleeding badly. I'm certainly know Medicine cat so all I could do was stay with her. Shes in the nursery with four healthy kits."Talonkit, Soulkit, Sinisterkit and there was a fourth but frankly I can not remember the toms name." He mewed not blinking when his leader was inches from his face."You were going to make an apprentice deputy so why not make a shadowclan cat your deputy makes more sense to me..."
Frostmoon watched on from afar. She owed her life to this flurrycloud tom. Apparently that was his name. She stood up, weak on her legs but thats the last thing she wanted was to be weak in front of a whole clan."Sinister and Talon actually. They will not have regular clan names in honor of your leader. Fogkit and Soulkit are the only ones who will have clan names. Since Sinister and talon look so much like abyss I thought in his honor I would have them keep there names much like he has. Since Fogkit and Soulkit look much like me I gave them clan names to honor myself." She watched on carefully as she got dirty stares from most of the clan. She did not seem to have offended Flurrycloud in her correction but she could tell he seemed rather bitter from her own response. Perhaps he really did awnt to be deputy but sugested her in place of an apprentice. Who would want an apprentice to co-lead a clan?

abyss gave a ghost of a smile at frostmoon, his mate, thinking the whole while of the conflict this would cause between tansypaw and the queen. frostmoon is deputy than... he mutterred walking forward and touching his nose to that of his mates.

Frostmoon nodded. She had only been here for a moment and her rank had increased dramatically. A devious smile formed gently across her muzzle. What she was thinking was beyond the minds of any. She could hear many yowls of protest but she was able to ignore them."When the time comes I think you should mentor Sinister. She is just like you.."She whispered."Is something wrong Abyss?"

Phantomspirit flicked her ears in surprise. Was this cat really going to destroy their clan like this. Would things begin to become more like Bloodclan? If so there would be no room in the clan for a blind cat. She would be killed without a second thought. She closed her eyes in sorrow for what was becoming her clan. She gathered her courage and spoke out against this cat that was to be their leader. "Abyss, maybe you should think this over. This isn't Bloodclan, you don't have to watch your back every second. You can trust us, you do know that right?"
Hauntedpaw watched Abyss with blank eyes. Her mentor would be the downfall of them all. This clan was a mess and someone needed to fix it. First she was to be deputy and now this Frostmoon character. She let out a disgruntled hiss before padding into the shadows to hide. What a mess indeed.
Spiritsong sat beside her twin looking shocked. "Abyss, you can't do this. What will Starclan say? You will be the ruin of this clan if you don't start acting like a real leader."She doubted that he would listen to her even though she was the medicine cat.
Mystickit looked on with wide eyes filled with confusion. What was going on? Would things turn much different then what things should be. She sat silently though, not wanting to draw attention to herself.

abyss let a sigh escape between his teeth, the fur around his shoulders fluffing and bristling. his reinforced claws dug into the dirt. i'm going for a walk. maybe i'll be the leader you want when i return. he said walking through the camp entrance.

Hauntedpaw watched as her mentor spoke. Maybe he wouldn't be the ruin of the clan, he just needed help from the right cat. Putting herself in that frame of mind she left the camp to ambush him as soon as he left.

abyss let a small pause enter his steps so his apprentice could catch up. he had become very fond of the darker apprentice and someday he would make sure she got his rank, she would be an excellent leader. hello hauntedpaw.
