The coal colored she-cat was getting weaker. Her eyes were pale blue instead of bright. Leafbare was getting to her. Most ceremonies were behind. After this one it would be awhile yet before another ceremoney would be done."Let all cats gathere here for a clan meeting." Her voice was raspy and short."Lillypaw ,Brokenpaw please step forward." She waited patiently before she called out there new names."I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your code. Lillypaw you will now be known as Lilysplash. Starclan honors you as a full warrior of Windclan." She paused nad touched noses with the young warrior."Brokenpaw. Chestnutflame is told me you are ready to be a warrior and I agree. I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice you have trained hard to learn the ways of their noble code. From this moment on Brokenpaw you will be known as Brokensun." Cricketstar smiled warmly and touched noses with the young new warrior."It is now time to make kits apprentices. She watched as the kits fathers and mothers guided them out to the clearing. "Alpinekit you have reached your sixth moon of age Azure, you are a strong brave warrior. I want you to pass on your strength to Alpinepaw. Holwingkit, you have reached your 6th moon of age and you will be known as Howlingpaw. Lightningstrike. You are ready for yet another apprentice. Pass on your bravery to this young tom. Burningkit, you have reached your 6th moon of age and will be known as burningpaw. Hazesight you are ready for your first apprentice and I hope you pass on your hunting and fighting skills to this apprentice. Shiningkit you have reached your 6th moon of age and you will be known as Shiningpaw. I have decided to mentor you." It was very rare for a leader to take on an apprentice. Why she had decided to do so was not under her control.
Alpinepaw bounced with a lot of energy. Her creamy brown pelt bristled as she touched noses with her mentor azure." I will be a great apprentice!" she piped up. She liked to learn and she was sure her mother was happy not to have to watch over her any longer.

[ooc- I am very confuzled. Is this my Brokenpaw and Lightningstrike has I think its Copperpaw as an apprentice. Maybe I'm just slow.]
Burningkit watched with wide eyes as his leader called for a meeting. He would finally be made an apprentice, but to whom would be the question.
Hazesight sat beside Hiddensong, his sister as the ceremonies began. Lightningstrike padded to their side to join them as their clan members began a new journey in life.

The lanky young, apprentice burst out of the small den he had been working in when he heard his leader's call. This would be the first time he would watch a ceremony as an apprentice. Not much of a deal to most cats. But Owlpaw could turn the smallest of things into a full holiday.

Once seated, he watched happily as other apprentices gained their own warrior titles. He couldn't help but smile at the kits, only a few moons younger then himself. These were the cats he would be growing up with. Plans were already being set up inside his head to meet each one.

(OOC- quick question here, I have two apprentices, Moonpaw and Duskpaw, neither of them are in the clan listings, and they are already apprentices but they should probably be assigned mentors, so possibly posting in this thread, just trying to make sure my charies are updated.)

[ooc-oh, okay. sorry for my confusion.]
Lightningstrike padded up to the newly named Howlingpaw to touch noses with the young tom. His clan was flourishing but Cricketstar was his worry. She was sill weak and it worried him to see her so unfit. She wouldn't even be attending the next gathering. He would have to lead the clan there in her stead. He just hoped the other clans wouldn't take advantage of their vulnerability.
The newly named Brokensun let her eyes rest on her leader, thankful that she was finally a warrior. She gazed at the kits that had looks of wonder in their eyes, they too couldn't wait to be apprentices and then finally warriors.
Burningpaw looked at Hazesight and wondered how his apprenticeship would work. The warrior was blind and was never without his sister. Would they both train him or would Hazesight finally be separated from his sister.
Hazesight felt sorry for his apprentice, not knowing what good he would be as a mentor. Perhaps his sister would help him teach the young tom.
Hiddensong felt her brother's trembling and couldn't help but wonder what was bothering him. She couldn't hear what was going on at the ceremony and she hadn't been paying attention enough to read their lips as the cats spoke but something had put him ill at ease. Whatever it was, she was determined to help him as best she could.

The leader jumped down and landed haphazardly she smiled warmly at Hazesight and touched the toms shoulder gently with her tail-tip. She bent down and whispered into the toms ear."If i had thought you would have done a poor job with this young apprentice I would not have given you one. I think you are ready Hazesight. You will make a good leader one day." she nodded before looking up."Have faith in yourself. I expect Burningpaw to be a grand warrior when the time comes. Lightningstrike may I speak to you by myself please. Hazesight and Hiddenson may join you as well..."

He knew this was simply how life went, so why should he be excited for the anticipation of becoming an apprentice. He didn't really care, going through the motions with no indication that he did, touching his nose to his mentors shoulder. Then walked away not even thinking about anyone or anything, he just was. [/size] †MOON.paw Moonpaw gleamed with importance, thrusting her head into the air proudly when Cricketstar said her name, assigning her to be mentored to Brokenwings. Finally she was an apprentice! She gladly stalked toward brokenwings touching the cat's shoulder with her nose. a purr of contentment and pleasure rose up inside her chest. She turned and noticed that Duskpaw had already dissappeared. Hmph! she scoffed doesn't he even care that I have been made an apprentice? Moonpaw settled on her haunches near her mentor, staying to watch the rest of the ceremony play out. Then as it ended, padded off, hoping to find Dusk. [/size] |

The three cats rose and followed Cricketstar silently, passing glances between themselves as they wondered what she could possibly want with them. Hazesight felt comforted by his leader's words and a calm peace fell over him. He would succeed in mentoring Burningpaw.
Burningpaw watched as his mentor padded away with the leader, wondering what she wanted with him and the other cats. He turned away to wander around the camp, happy that he was finally an apprentice.

"...[/size][/font] SHININGPAW [/font][/size] The young girl smiled graciously and slipped forward to greet her leader. However, Cricketstar at cats names, Shiningpaw not included. She stopped in mid-step, about three tail-lengths from the leader. Her mentor. Her stomach burbled with excitement, but it began to twist and grind with uneasiness. Her leader hadn't ever greeted her. She took three deep breaths to calm herself. Cricketstar was probably just tired. She was busy, and didn't have time for silly things. She knew that. That was all it was. She would spend plenty of time with her leader and new mentor later on.
'My mom doesn't mean it, y'know.' Shiningpaw turned around, startled. Behind her stood Hllyfrost, the grown daughter of Cricketstar herself. Her blue eyes bore down on Shiningpaw and made her shiver.
'Doesn't mean what?' she asked softly, knowing full and well what Hollyfrost saw in her.
'Don't lie to yourself, Shiningpaw. And don't worry, my mom just has some things to clear up. She'll see to you as soon as she sees fit. She can be depended on.' The tall girl cast the new apprentice a quick smile before turning tail and vanishing out the entrance, quick as a flash, the black and white princess was gone.
Shiningpaw pursed her lips. She trusted her mentor to see to her. But in her heart she felt a twinge of envy, why wasn't she called into the leaders meeting? It was then that she made up her mind, she would be there, and she would hear it. Wether she was aloud to or not. She set off immediately, sneaking around siblings, and smiling placidly as clanmates. She found her self quickly at the rim of the excitement and skirting around after her leader. She wouldn't feel guilty until she lay staring up at the stars tonight. Her first night as an apprentice. If only her head had been where it should of been, though it rarely was. If it had been it would've been saying something along the lines up, boy, of all the stupid ideas... You finally go through with the worst of 'em all. [/size][/font] ..." [/size][/font][/right]

When all of the cats she had invited were settled in her den she nodded. She took in a deep breath and began." I wanted to start be reinforcing the fact Hazesight will be a brilliant mentor. Like i said if I didnt think you were ready I would not have even brought this thought up. And I have been keeping secrets from my clan.... I had three kits not just Hollyfrost...the other two are in Shadowclan with there father mallowfang. Her sisters are Rosefreeze and Frostmoon. However I have suspicions that Frostmoon is now Riverclans deputy.... all of her kin was loyal. Just recently I had another litter. You might have known I vanished for awhile. THe kits are happily snug in the nursery with another queen. I will end this meeting by stating I have been VERY ill.... I managed to lose three lives... I will not say how many I still have...its not many... Lightningstrike...I have personal reasons to say that Hollyfrost should be one cat you think about making deputy when the time comes..."

She had been born when her mother was a warrior, and so the clan accepted her with open paws, she was a valuable asset afterall. But... More? This went against the warrior code, and made Shiningpaw's chest ache with worry. She wouldn't- couldn't listen to anymore. Lightningstrike looked at his leader with wide eyes. It wasn't really any of his business if she had other kits. It was her choice to have them and there was no undoing the past. The fact that she had lost three lives and was still rather ill worried him. He wasn't sure if he was ready to become leader.
