Timepaw;; The large black apprentice sat silently on one of the lower branches of the Great Oak. His tail hung down, curling and uncurling as he stared at the ground. If he climbed higher, he could probably see the whole territory... Jumping carefully to his paws, he made his way towards the trunk, then started climbing up one branch at a time. Halfway up the huge tree, he froze, fur standing on end, golden-amber eyes wide... and completely blank. He wasn't aware of his own body as his claws slipped—he was someplace else entirely. Another tree—an oak, like this one, but much shorter. He felt wind and branches whipping at him, and heard a kit wailing. He felt the impact, and he could hear the voice of a terrified queen nearby. Another kit was mewling further away. Timepaw jerked back to the present, scrambling to his paws below the tree. Startled, shaken, he gazed up at the tree. He'd heard his mother's voice—he was sure of it. So why didn't he know what she was saying? [/blockquote]

His amber eyes flickered in the light of the sun flickering through the tall trees. He watched the apprentice silently as he watched the young tom fall. When he got up he narrowed his eyes, something was on the black tom's mind clearly. Time had come to make the Clan think he had changed; though he had changed but it was a very different change than he wanted them to believe.
His sandy fur was going through the undergrowth and to the young tom. Sandheart's eyes were wide with fear now, starring at the young apprentice closely. He bent his neck to him, "Are you ok?" Amber eyes flickered with now an impenetrable wall of lies that only he knew of. A sigh later and he starred on, "You scared me Truthpaw," he meowed slowly, "You fell from a great height."

Timepaw;; He jerked away from the sand-colored warrior, the fur on his hackles bristling up. "I'm fine," he growled. He let his amber eyes harden, blocking out the confusion with an icy-cold wall. "You scared me Timepaw. You fell from a great height. "I'm fine," Timepaw snapped again. "It wasn't that high. I was hardly halfway up." Worried that this would make him seem weak, Truthpaw narrowed his eyes, adding quickly "My claws just slipped. The bark's been stripped off the tree, and it's wet from the rain."

Sandheart could've released his anger there but he bit his tongue. Simply and calmly he watched on at the young tom, not bothering with argument. He took a step back and turned from the black tom with his fur flat on his back. A slight sigh and he starred back at Truthpaw, "Good," he meowed plainly, "If you were to get hurt good warriors would be in less supply than before."

"Good. If you were to get hurt good warriors would be in less supply than before." Timepaw blinked, startled. Was that... a compliment? But he was just an apprentice, without a mentor, born outside the Clan. He was the odd, antisocial cat who sometimes stared into space, seemingly for no reason. Timepaw narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Sandheart. "What do you mean?" he mewed.
OOC: haha. i just noticed that we've been switching Truthpaw and Timepaw's names. xD

His face held a grin now as he watched him. This was his perfect moment, and he knew it very well. With a kind glint his eyes he spoke again, "You don't see it in yourself?" For a moment he let curiosity filter through his eyes, "I guess the only ones who can see it are the ones who don't look for it." A step later and he smiled warmly at the young tom, "Don't look so suspicious at me," he meowed as he flicked his tail toward him, "You're a strong tom, just believe me, Timepaw."
(lol, ya, I was going with it. ^^)

"You don't see it in yourself? I guess the only ones who can see it are the ones who don't look for it. Don't look so suspicious at me. You're a strong tom, just believe me, Timepaw." Timepaw flicked his tail, the confusion returning to his eyes. "I guess so," he muttered. "But... I'm not a warrior. I don't even have a mentor." He narrowed his eyes at Sandheart again. Where was this coming from?
OOC: oops. i'm so much more used to RPing with Truthpaw... I didn't even know that i'd used her name in the first post.

He smiled, his amber eyes showing warm now. A slight sigh and he went on, this would be hard, "So," he began with a playful briskness in his voice, "Do you think Thunder was a warrior before our time began?" The bright amber eyes didn't even wait for an answer, with a smile he began to speak again, "The answer is no and he didn't have a mentor either. He wasn't even a warrior before he became a leader, he was simply a cat." The sandy fur on his back quivered through his mask that only he knew about. He smiled on at the young tom as he got closer to whisper, "If you ask me," he started kindly, "You have an edge to our great Thunderstar, Timepaw." After what he said he flicked his tail on his shoulder and stood back.
