Liftedstar padded through the forest with the assessment cats behind him. He starred back when he stopped at the clearing that mentors usually took there apprentices to. When he saw them with him he smiled and sat to speak to them all. His eyes went to Maskedpaw and then the rest, "Maskedpaw, I want you to hunt near the twoleg path, be careful though," he warned and then turned to Banditpaw and Sagepaw, "Banditpaw, I want you to hunt near the Ancient Oak," he went on to Sagepaw, "Sagepaw, I want you to hunt near the old twoleg nest, don't go in though, it is very dangerous." Now all he wanted to see was Lionglory to take over. Liftedstar knew that he only had one life left so now more than ever he wanted to know that he could trust Lionglory to become a leader one day. His bright blue eyes shot to his deputy, "Lionglory, I want you to tell these fine warriors who they will be watching after the apprentices leave."
His eyes flashed as he followed his leader close behind. He wanted to lash out but he kept himself as calm as he could. It was the fact that his leader had excepted that outsider into the Clan so easily. What decision did he really make? All he did was say yes and didn't even try to speak with his Clan about it. Wasn't that what leaders were supposed to do? They were supposed to let there Clan know things before they made severe decisions. The other fact was that his leader was so close to this she-cat and her kit, treating her kit like his own kin! When they stopped he sat as well and starred at his leader, he would listen though. As his leader spoke he looked at the apprentices, wondering why Sagepaw was with them and not the other apprentices his age as well.

Sagepaw nodded. THe two leg nest. Thats where he caught his first prey anyways. He looked at all the warriors. Nervous about what was to happen. He knew that he was younger than maskedpaw and banditpaw and he hoped that they weren't angry. He looked at Sandheart and stayed to himself.
Maskedpaw piped up brightly. Her area was difficult but do able. She just hoped that the prey wasn't in their nests."I will bring back the most. I will be a mentor...one day before you sagepaw..." Maskedpaw laughed. The younger apprentice was talking about mentoring clawkit."You know sagepaw. Clawkit will probably go to sandheart. Hes much more diserving." She watched as Sagepaw only shrugged. He didn't seem to be bothered.
ooc:Creating a plot between the two apprentices.

ooc:Blackie told me I was needed other wise I wouldn't be on.
IC:Lionglory looked at Liftedstar. This was a test... Lionglory was still fairly young he had to know how to lead a clan. No not a test, but training. He had to know who to pick as a deputy when his time were to come. He had to know how to assign mentors and make warriors. Leading a clan would be difficult. He had to assign warriors to apprentices."Liftedstar I am only going to assume that you will be watching all the apprentices going behind the scenes. So.." He paused looking at the warriors."Sandheart I want you to watch Sagepaw. Skyhawk you should watch Banditpaw. Ravensfeather will you watch Maskedpaw I will go behind the scenes with Liftedstar and watch all of you."

Liftedstar watched the apprentices in silence, flashing his apprentice a look for a moment. Clawkit had begged him to let Sagepaw mentor him and it was hard to say no to his young daughter. In all truth, he had thought of Sandheart as her mentor but had changed his mind afterwards. With a swift lash of his tail he changed moods and looked at his deputy. A smile ran over his face like a rabbit trying to catch the wind. He was happy as he spoke, "Very good, Lionglory," he meowed quietly to his deputy. When he looked at Maskedpaw again he then padded toward her a bit, "You're time will come the same as Sagepaw's," he whispered, "Trust me." For a moment he paused to make sure Ravensfeather was in ear shot, "I need to talk to you later," he whispered slowly, "You and Ravensfeather."

Banditpaw turned to begin his hunt. His heart was pounding in his chest, he was finally getting the chance to prove himself worthy of becoming a warrior. He fought to slow the beating that seemed to echo into the still silence of the forest around him. It was time to focus, raising his head he sniffed the air with his black nose, drawing in the warm earthy scents of the world around him. With each breath his mind sharpened, his focus returning and the will to succeed filling his entire being. Today was the day he would prove himself to the world. He was ready to become a warrior and nothing would stop him. The warm scent of a mouse scurrying through the undergrowth drifted through the air and his mind wrapped itself around the hunt.

Skyhawk nodded. He waited for Banditpaw to leave before following him. Watching his skills. Banditpaw was a good tom. Very friendly with Maskedpaw. He purred softly remembering his own mate Nimbleflower, she had died though and they had never had kits of his own. Perhaps he never would have made a good father. He did foster father Sagepaw though..and Adderpaw, and Spiderpaw. Hollyshadow didnt want the clan to know that she had mated with a rougeclan cat. He snuffled before watching Banditpaw more carefully trying to focus.
Sagepaw made his way through the forest on his way he froze in his spot. Badger? why was he so nervous and jumpy all of a sudden. He sighed noticing it was stale and it was headed to the mountains he closed his eyes and made his way to the two-leg place. The scent of a squirrel floated into his nose. He bunched up his hind legs leaping forward taking down his prey with a swift bite to the throat. However as he barried his prey he looked over his shoulder and saw nothing. Was it his nerves."Help me...please.."A soft mew Sagepaw turned around a collered she-cat. Small white and red all over. He grimaced. Would he really risk his warrior ceremony for a kittypet. This cat was very young belly buldging."My mate attacked me..." Sagepaw could smell her fear scent. He must have looked so big.I can't believe I'm risking my warrior ceremony for a kittypet..."Today is very important to me.... I am becomming a warrior but you would not know what that is. THe biggest ceremony a cat can get. But.." He paused wanting to take it back."I will help you." He walked forward watching her shrink back. He pressed a piece of cobweb to the gash in her neck carefully licking the wound clean."There..." He had waisted so much time."I-" HE stopped turing around eye to eye with his elder clan mate."Im sorry...I should be hunting but she...was hurt...." He flattened his ears to the higher ranked tom waiting to see what he would say.

Banditpaw froze instantly when he spotted a large, plump mouse digging among the roots of the ancient oak. He swiftly but silently moved forward and pounced when he was close enough to make a kill. He bit the unfortunate mouse on the neck, instantly killing the creature. Thank you Starclan for the life of this creature. He then buried his prey and continues his search for another creature.

Liftedstar watched Sagepaw closely, waiting to see what he would do. Really, he had wanted to watch his own apprentice but something about this tom intrigued him. When he saw the young she-cat he stopped and watched Sagepaw even closer now. Would he turn away from this she-cat in need or would he help her. From afar he saw Sandheart crouched, watching this apprentice as well. It was his job to watch Sagepaw but he wondered what the aggressive tom would do. When he saw Sandheart go forward his heart stopped. What would happen now? Would he have to intervene?
A slight growl came from the sand colored toms throat as he rose to confront the young apprentice. He stopped as he remembered his own mother in pain and lowered his eyes for a moment in remembrance of her and then raised his eyes again to keep them on Sagepaw and the queen. His amber eyes stayed narrowed as he looked on at the apprentice. When he faced the younger cat he just slyly said, "She was in need and you helped her," he meowed with his eyes staying narrowed, "Just don't become too friendly." A slight growl and his voice was normal and calm again as he looked at the she-cat, "You came for help and that's all right but," he started slowly, "Be out of our territory by Sunrise tomorrow or else. If you are too badly hurt find ThunderClan," he glared on, "I guess we would have to take you in." He was well aware of the ThunderClan leader around but his words weren't for the joy of the tom he so hated. When his eyes turned back to Sagepaw he stopped, "Get back to hunting," he said as he turned to leave, "I won't report this to Liftedstar," he started and then added harshly to himself, "As if he already doesn't know." With a glare at where the ThunderClan leader used to be he went off. You won't be alive forever Liftedstar, he thought slowly, You're not as young as you used to be and you're not the leader you used to be either.
He watched in awe as the young warrior spoke. It was clear that Sandheart didn't like him for the decision he had made but he didn't take it out on this she-cat. That amazed him but he smiled warmly, "Maybe you could make a great leader one day Sandheart," he said softly, more to himself, "You just need to learn some things first. I know you want to be one so maybe I could teach you." His body disappeared next into the forest and he ran off to track Maskedpaw next.

Sagepaw looked at Sandheart."I'm sorry, I was not becomming friendly Sandheart. When A cat needs help I'm not going to hesitate to help no matter what clan or rank they may be." He looked to the kittypet, his amber eyes burning."Shes fine..." With that he bounded off, catching as much prey as he could before time ran out.
Skyhawk watched Banditpaw. His mind not quite focused but focused enough to the point where he knew what was going on."Come on Banditpaw...I can scent mice all over the place.." He mumbled silently to hisself before turning away. He had to follow the young apprentice but not to closely.
Maskedpaw lowered her body. Her eyes focused on a sparrow. She waited, just a bit closer...The brown bird was pecking away at seeds. She bit her lip nervously. Bunching up her hind legs she soared into the air clasping her paws around the small bird and finishing it without it calling out. Her blue eyes sparkled with pride while she burried her prey and continued on.

Banditpaw sniffed the air once again after burying his prey. The air was filled with the scent of mouse, it was almost confusing. He shook his head to get the smells out of his head, his concentration returning. A few tail lengths from his was another mouse. Bunching his muscles he pounced, trapping the animal between his paws and swiftly killing it.

OOC- Banditpaw's mentor isn't here either. I think it was supposed to be Sparrowbreeze according to the last ceremonies thread.

OOC:: Sparrowbreeze is no longer in ThunderClan. She will be returning shortly, but just hasn't yet. She's a bit not happy.
