Lachance sighed as he looked at the stars. Here the sky was clear, unfolded at nighttime to reveal thousands of tiny stars. His long tail curled over his paws. Somewhere nearby trees rustled in the nights-slight breeze. The moonlight that bathed his land turned his coat a silver color, hiding the black tips at his ears.

Bexx stared up at that exact same sky. A different piece. But it was all the same. Her tail twitched anxiously, back and forth, back and forth. Her cheeks burned in quiet concentration. Bexx, overall, was a strong and proud cat. However, she, like most girls, felt a little prick of insecurity. It was never a good thing, she knew it and acknowledged it, but she couldn't help but feel it. She hadn't come out tonight merely to star gaze. She hadn't come out here to brush up on her navigation skills, they didn't need help. Tonight she had come out to practice a new skill under the cover of darkened foliage and the moons erie glow. Her eyes sought out familiar constellations, her nose sought out the scent of a late night snack. Scurrying feet thudded in her ear drums, the mouse was close, it was scrawny, it was food, and she was too wrapped up in her thoughts to pinpoint it. Her mouth shut and opened in frenzied concentration, but nothing worked. It moved, first it was on her right side, and then her left. Her head spun, her paws felt jellyish, but beyond all these facts something else held it's gripping and icy reign over her heart and mind. Her stomach clenched and unclenched as she fought it back, she knew what it was and didn't dare let a clear picture form itself in her mind. This was a war that she was quickly loosing. Her breath came in short and sparatic bursts. Lachance... Lachance... Lachance... Her claws flexed and her paw snapped out as the mouse mad a daring attempt to get by the distracted cat. I'm lucky. she whispered, gazing at the bloodied body of the dead rodent. Concentrate. Don't let anything else get in your way. That mouse stumbled into your paws practically. she chided herself softly staring at the tiny face with unfocused eyes. Concentrate...

Very good catch. Lachance said, smiling happily at the girl. He enjoyed her company, even if he wouldn't admit it, more so than he did the others in the clan. She had a unique feeling that the others lacked. You've improved. He added, hoping she wouldn't be bothered by his compliments.

Bexx looked up, she hadn't heard and scented any other cat around, much less Lachance. She surpressed an overly please smile. Thank you. she said curtly, nudging the mouse gently. But it wasn't that great. It practically threw itself at me. she said, her flashing eyes made for a silvery sight in the reflection of the moon. I... Wasn't paying attention. She tilted her head and nodded at him, Thank you anyhow. she said to his latest remark. She mulled over her thoughts for the briefest of moments. I don't mean to pry at all... But... Why are you out so late? her cheeks burned as she thought of her own reason... And she swallowed the growing lump of excitement and jumbled feelings. It fell like a heavy stone to the bottom of her stomach and made itself at home there.

I... Couldn't sleep, He said, glancing away from the she-cat trying to hide true feelings beneath a glassy stare and somewhat failing miserable. He wasn't sure what else to say, and he often stutterred when He did not pre-think out a response to a statement.

Oh... she said, her eyes widening in innocence. I... Guess being the leader of something is tough. She said slowly, the words flowing awkwardly in haphazard sentences out of her mouth. She wished she could suck them right back in. I... Wanted to hunt. Beneath her fur, her skin flamed red with color. But, I kind of got side-tracked. [/blockquote]

By what? He ponderred, looking back at her and forcing his gaze to stay there. His own ears burned a hot temperature as the reddened in embarassment.

By what?! she asked, startled. Her eyes searched his. Calico colors turned darker and deeper as her paws shifted into the shadow of a ancient tree. The moon... Hunt by the moonlight...? her statement came out as a question and she felt the undying need to kick herself. By myself... She finally said slowly. With unprying eyes. She didn't mean to single anyone out, but the name Deathcall burned in her mind. Her eyes narrowed and then widened, and repeated the process until she had firmly wedged the thought farther and farther back into the recess' of her mind.

He had also taken Deathcall's name into consideration as he listened to her talk. Shall I leave, then? He asked, he would rather not be a set of prying eyes.

No! she burst. Her cheeks flamed. I... Mean... You don't need to leave... I just... Well, you taught me... she stammered like a fool, finally she seemed to gather herself up again. She gestured slowly at the mouse bleeding the last of its life blood. So it doesn't really matter if you see... I mean, I can't really get much worse than what I use to be. Her cheeks cooled. I was terrible. she laughed at herself and then stopped. She was just making this worse. But I'm sure you're tired.

Lachance smiled at her, pretending he didn't notice the slight struggle in her speech. Not really, You werent that bad. He said, glancing at the bloodied mouse she had caught. How funny it was to think that she wouldn't of been able to do that a moon ago.

Bexx shook her head, and smiled, glad of his choice to ignore her verbal stumble. Don't lie to me, all might leader. she said, her eyes sparkling as she blinked in the silver light. I was terrible. I was never taught to hunt, before now... she stood a little striaghter. I feel like I should return the favor, but I don't know how.

Nor do I. He muttered, turning his bright blue eyes to the starlit sky. How was he supposed to not come up with a response to her statement as a leader? But what didn't he know? Perhap's we will just call it even. He finally said.
OOC;;Sorry, I was kinda idea-less.

Bexx frowned. Lachance... I can't just call it even. she said slowly. I could teach you some star navigation... she offered slowly. However, it's really only useful for travels in unknown lands. she sighed. It's interesting anyway.

Perhaps, Instead of teaching me, you could teach the whole group. He replied. Like a mentor to the whole Coven.
