how long must there be anger here? before we can rejoice.
x x/for.the.masses/ beautiful, slate gray she-cat with shocking sapphire eyes.
x x/appearance/
sungrass is very small, her form is petite, her bounds are slender, though strong, they break more easily than a normal cat's would. She is not apprenticed sized, however. She packs a strong punch with her well-trained swimming legs, which are long like a Windclan cat, but useful for being able to wade in the more shallow parts of the river. She has narrow shoulders, a pretty average length neck for a cat her size, and a condensed torso. She has a angular face, her ears turn away from her head and are set in the more frontern hemisphere.
her fur is one of the most beautiful. The factor that it is water resistant adds to that, it makes her fur glossy. Her fur is thickly layered and slightly longer in the winter, but in the summer she has a light breezy pelt. From the tip of her muzzle spreading back to her whiskers is a patch of creamy white, this also inhabits the under-shadow area by her eyes, and then is sprinkled down her chest. leading to a very pale under-belly. The inside area of her front and back paws are also spackled with white down to her black pawpads. The other areas of her are decorated in a tabby-like fashion though the darker colors are black and her lighter colors are a deep or slate gray. She also has a tell-tale marking of a broken up 'M' on her forehead in black.
Her eyes are something brilliant. They are a luminous sapphire blue of the brightest type, some say her blue rivals the sky. Starting out as a dark blue near the black core, it spreads like a ravaging forest fire, and as it gets farther away it becomes something of a thin ice, until it hits the very edge and becomes a ring of onyx.

first border encounter :
sunpaw had always had remarkable and refined senses of smelling. Not always a great thing, but today she had warned her patrol of an on-coming Thunderclan patrol. Barley even two points off that large oak. she whispered. Sunpaw was known as an excellent navigator. She had come from another land barley even six moons ago, as a child in her old land she had been assigned to navigation and strategy. Their clans had been advanced, now, sunpaw brought her skills to her new home. She hardly remembered anything about her home except for the skills she had learned and maybe her mother and brother. Sunpaw tried not to think about them. Seconds later they ducked behind some ferns that had started to grow in Riverclan's land. Four Thunderclan cats strutted out into the open. Sunpaw looked at her mentor, Coldwind, "What should we do?" she hissed. She knew Coldwind wasn't one to take things lying down.
Her mentor looked at her and the other two cats at her side. "Back up, then we stand up as if we had just appeared." she whispered.
Sunpaw scratched backwards almost silently on her paws and then sprang up in motion with Coldwind. Her heart raced with anticipation. "Now what?"
"We be pleasant unless this gets ugly." Coldwind said under her breath. "Hello there!" she called.
The cats had whirled around when they caught our scent. Their noses crinkled some. Coldwind lead them closer.
"Hello." a deep voice sounded crackly and sharp in Sunpaw's ears. "Coldwind, how is Riverclan?" Each cat made sure they were a safe distance away from the border. The older cat flicked his tail and Thunderclan fell into a different position.
"Rockface," she greeted in return. "Riverclan is fine, and Thunderclan?"
"Fine." The meeting dulled and soon the cats turned and went their own ways. Coldwind leaned down and whispered, "Did you see what he did with his tail?"
"The position flanker signal?" sunpaw slipped.
"The what?"
"What he did... The signal, and then the cats moved into a formation, thats what its called. We learned it... At my old home."
A spark of interest formed in Coldwind's eyes. "Did you know that Rockface is also not always of Thunderclan? Some suspected that you came from the same place as him when they found out about your navigation skills. Tell me, what else did you learn there?"
Sunpaw thingyed her head, her mentor had never been that interested in her before. "They taught us how to navigate and tell directions off of large landmarks we knew, or by passing landmarks depending on the way things grow on it. They taught us strategy, such things as the position flanker signal. That way the fastest go where they have the most advantage, then the strongest in the clan and so on. We didn't have small prey where we lived, so these positions were used for hunting as well as fighting. The navigator, such as I was training to be, is most likely to be positioned in the direct wake of the leader in the formation as to give directions. When I had left we had just finished basic star navigating. That way we can navigate by night, though my skills are only basic, because there would have been two more advanced groups of lessons after that." she said, it almost felt good to talk about her old home for once. But it didn't last long. The look Coldwind gave her made her feel uneasy.
Suddenly there was a rustle in the bushes that was not un-cat-like. "Hello?" Mossfoot called out looking around, he was a cat who had come with them. He was leopard printed and stringy.
Nothing stirred again. "Nothings there, Mossfoot." Coldwind said and they enter back into camp. Behind them, amber eyes blinked in the shelter of the fern before disappearing. Thunderclan scent wafted out behind him.
The next morning, Coldwind was found dead. And Sunpaw kept her skills to herself.

night after night, Sungrass spends more time out under the stars. By the time her mentor was killed she was ready to become a warrior, and so she was named for grass as it sways in the wind, much like her long legged figure. Secretly, she hones her skills of her old home, navigating, the formations. One day she hopes to be made into some use of the clan, maybe even deputy so that her skills of navigating and strategy will be put into use.
its hard for me to see you fall, so bitter and so blind.

"i am, what you might say, a peace bringer. i love it when we all get along and life is flowing as it should. though those times are rarely ever. i love nothing more than a peaceful day, patrols in the afternoon, a midnight hunt, and then staying out under the stars.
i happen to not be much of a morning cat, wether that is surprising or not. i prefer when its dark and it seem likes all our impurities are behind us, you can't see our grievous flaws in the dark.
i am not really from the clans, but I don't remember where my old home is. Though I am a peaceful cat my skills from my old homeland may prove to be most useful. Such as navigating by landmarks or stars. My most useful skill would be my strategy, planning how something gets done and then set up formation for this. I hope that some day my skills will come to use.
i am completely and utterly at home in the water. there is nothing i love more than a quick dip, even if it just means wading by the shore. it is the only time i feel strong, and more powerful over the other clans. the rest of them can't swim well, night vision is a given, and there isn't any other terrain you can run fast in than Windclan's. but what does thunderclan have thats so great? that they continue to turn out hero after hero? it doesn't matter to me.
one day i'll be a hero in my own rights."
