> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan Sauntering out into the center of the swamp, mud squilshed between his rough pawpads. His teeth glinted as he braced them together, breathing in sharply, producing a whispery, whistling sound. Chase rolled his shoulder's back. He was ready for this, the end of the old, the beginning of the new. He was feeling more than just a little optimistic. His paws just itched to raise to the woman of his dreams, except, there was no one to run to. He sighed, his shoulders slumped a little. Well, today was a start. His rough pink tongue swiped over his white muzzle. He pawed the slightly bloodied vole under his right fore-paw. He rolled his head over his shoulders, kicked the vole into the air and caught it in his jaw, a trick he had taught his self as kit. He began to weave his way between the thick pines. But a very faint scent came over his glands, mixed with the metallic smell of the vole. His mouth watered. Picking up speed he followed the scent. The thought that it could be a male, or an intruder completely void of his mind. He felt the silly tingling sensation that it was the love of his life. He was ready. His amber eyes glinted in the sun. He was more then ready... Well at least thats what he though...

Shadestream Silver and Gold... The fish in the Stream Her fur was alluring if such a word could be used. Her head was always held high in confidence, for she was Mudfrost's sister, she was family to a royal. In fact she was more beautiful than the others in her family. Behind her the sun had began to set/rise and it shone through her pelt as though it were not there, coloring her gold and even black. Her orbs were colored black while in hells smile, though, they were truley a shade of dark blue, illuminating her chracter to be perfect on the outside... or close to it. Her name was Shadestream, the last female descendant of her family, and Mudfrost's fondest of friends. I recognize you, She murmured searching for the other felines title, coming up blank several times.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan Luckily, Chase was carrying the vole when he skidded to a stop and his jaw dropped. At least it looked natural. The vole landed soundly at his paws, lifelessly as it was. "Uh... yeah. Cloudchase... Chase." he stumbled naturally through his speech before catching himself. "I go by Chase." he said more subtly, his head rolling to the side as he watched her. He grinned boyishly. "And you..." his voice was teasing, though he couldn't draw her name from his mouth. His head snapped up. "I know!" he had to hold himself back from laughing, but his voice sounded choked. What was he doing? No, not again. This wasn't one of those charmed for the time being relationships. This was it. Chase was sure. He let out a laugh, "Mudfrost, right?" he joked. "I know I'm right, I always am!" he held his head aloft, smiling down at her, teeth gleaming in the evening sun. He smirked, lowering his head to his level. "What are you doing out here on this finne day?" 'Charm... On!'

Shadestream She tilted her head upwards in a stuck up manner. She made a quiet sighing sound. I am not Mudfrost. She hissed, a smile creeping over her lips. She didnt know why it amused her, it simply did. I am Shadestream, his sister. Her tail lashed, but she knew not whether in amusement or in fury. Chase it is than. Her voice was thick with sarcasim when she spoke, she was used to toms like him, or at least she thought she was. It is indeed a fine day. She added, casting a glance at him through narrowed eyes.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan Chase laughed a little, it sounded more forced though. "I know." He smiled a more pleasant smile, than the smug one he had been wearing. "Shadestream." he said, nodding his head as if approving. "And I know you are his sister. A mouse could tell." his voice was slightly haughty. "It is." He craned his head to the side. "A find day, yes. But you did not answer my question." he said with another trademark smirk before letting it rest more flatly on his face. His paw toyed with vole, a little anxious to be doing something else.

Shadestream She frowned and made a small "hmph" sound. He was rather irritating to her, though, somewhere deep down she knew she wanted to smile. She ran her tongue over her golden paw, drawing out the silence for as long as she possibly could before answering. I am doing nothing, but pretending to have a civilized conversation with you. Can't you tell? She used a very high, professionally sarcastic tone and oculdnt help but smirk. Ah, the way games worked, some are fun and some are just... well dull.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan "I'm positively dying of laughter. On the inside. Can't you tell?" Chase shot back immediately. He enjoyed her. Kind of... She had to fall for him first. Those were the rules. "Well maybe while we continue this civilized conversation we should make our able selves useful." he said, mocking her tone while motioning to the vole. "A hunt?" He shoved dirt again over the vole, 'Poor guy...' he thought inwardly. He rolled his eyes a little. He craned his neck towards the sun, force of habit when you live in the shadows. He soon stepped forward until he was covered in sunlight, the warm feeling wrapped him up.

She faked a smile at his mocking words, one of great annoyance. I will make my able self useful, Im not sure how much help you can be of. She murmured with a smile. Her words were meant in good humor, even if some didnt take it that way, in fact many assumed her a snob and in somewyas perhaps she was. She watched him walk into the sunlight as she had earlier in fascination, she loved the way the fur colors changed in the light. They became so much prettier.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan "Just you wait and see!" Chase darted out of the sun and immediately shivered. Darting back into the light he smiled his toothy smile, "After you." He could hear the distinct sound of snobbiness resounding in every word and chose to ignore it, because that was how his dear Windsong had been. His eyes stung a little, but not enough for tears. So as he waited for her to make the first step into the cold and unloving embrace that was their home he continued to think, smell, and examine their surroundings. "We should hunt by the Windclan border." he suggested, but it came out sounding more like that is what they would be doing. No second choice, though there were countless options, in which case he was lead to believe that she wouldn't agree with him. It hardly mattered, he found her that interesting.

Shadestream Shadestream looked at him for a moment before pushing past him. Windclan border, She mimicked walking in that general direction. She cast a glance at him behind her shoulder and gave a small half smile, sarcasim free. Thorns snagged at her fur at times, though, it didnt really bother her as much as the clouds that were darkening.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan Chase smiled back and followed her out, into the shadows. His fur shifting in the breeze. He shiver again. He didn't mind so much when she mimicked him, he began to follow her lead, towards the windy border. Dead pine needles stuck to his paw pads and low hanging branches swiped at his ears. He grunted in discomfort.
my out of character; I am so cold right now... Mine isn't very good either...

shadestream in the beginning i tried to warn you...if you play with fire its gonna burn you ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ She stole a glance at him, smiling as she did so. He was a rather insteresting character and she supposed she could come to enjoy his company. Her mimicking words came back to her now and she inwardly cringed, she had a way of doing this, recking the only chance she had to befriend someone with her snide little comments and her fake little smiles. Her dark colored fur changed colors as she passed in and out of the light, sometimes a glossy ebony, others a mysterious coal color. This would someday be her brothers land, and just thinking that it was in her blood as well made her grin foolishly on the inside each and every time she looked at the forest that harborred the clan's basic structure. Even the croaking song of the frogs and the birds sad ballet made her smile.
She opened her mouth as if to speak only to close it again. What was she supposed to say? what should she talk about? She was an heiress and these questions were often those that toyed in her miond when speaking to the others. How was she to conduct herself? Have there been any patrols set out lately? She asked, flinching at the stupidity of the question. Shadestream was not good at making conversation, no not at all, and being in this silence, with this other, with this trip it jsut made her uncomfortable.

> > cloudCHASE warrior < shadowclan Chase smiled evenly. "I don't know, but perhaps it would be a better question for your brother." he replied, almost instantaneously he cringed. She was obviously trying to spark some sort of conversation... But, he had just shot it down. "I mean... I guess we could jsut find out... But, uh..." he stammered, but even that was charming. He gave his lop-sided grin. His ambery eyes twinkled in the shifting and slightly musty light. "Why don't we just hunt." he suggested. "Cat with the most prey gets to... uhm... What should be befitting of a looser?"
