BloodClan are becoming a strong fighting force, killing cats for their blood and basically just wreaking havoc on the Clans. Can't have that, can we?
So, the Clan cats don't know how to handle these kinds of cats. They're hard to kill, and it doesn't seem as though they have any weaknesses.
However, not too far away lives SkyClan. These cats have worked out a way to protect themselves from the Small Paws, and they're good at it.
Problem is, the main Clans are too proud to ask for SkyClan's help, but as the Small Paws continue their raids on the Clans, they have to give in eventually and go to SkyClan for assistance.
