His tail was thingyed up straight. His fur feathered out elegantly giving him a skunk like look. He had just broken into the elderly woman's perfume and so, he had a rather unique scent. He put on paw in front of the other walking in a strut like motion. His tail shook lightly from side to side as he did so. What a trouble maker he was, he loved it so much he didn't mind getting a shoe or two thrown at him.
Pepe was a handsome black tom with white markings. It gave him the look of the skunk perhaps that's why other animals ran off at the site of him. It wasn't that he was so much as ugly, but his scent and looks gave the odd feeling that if he were angered he would turn around and spray a nasty liquid that would make you smell for days.
However, that's not what he was. He was a loner. He was a cat. He had whiskers and when he spoke it was a low deep mew. He was definitely not a skunk. If he were he would hate himself for such a long time. He couldn't stand the life spraying everything. He couldn't help but laugh at his foolish thoughts. He wasn't out side today to complain about living a life he did not have. Instead he was here to meet someone new. He and his sister October had learned about a clan of cats that inhabited the forests.
His dream since he got in the area was to start a clan of his own. However he couldn't live like a savage. He could never leave the elderly woman on Silver Lane. He could deal with living in the meadows. That way he was still slightly near by and could keep the old woman company. He was accused of being a Two-leg kitty from time to time. However the fact that he spent most of his time outside proved most cats point otherwise.
"Well now it looks like rain today." His gaze looked up to the sky. Thousands of grays melded together to form one color. Some patches were darker than others making it seem black."No one in their right mind would be out here now." He shook his head with disdain. His paws left the gravel and onto soft grass."There must be an old badger set somewhere in these meadows...." A loud crash of thunder spooked him. Scents of other cats filled his nose."How odd...." He moved swiftly now. The one thing he didn't want to happen was to be caught outside in the rain. Instead of finding a badger set. A fairly large tree had roots upturned. He dove underneath. At least he would be protected from the wet and cold."Looks like this will be my home for most of the day and night..." He mewed looking around

Her orange eyes seemed to glare out from under the bush she'd been in. Oh how the scent of meat filled her nostrils and the river of blood coming from the pile of prey she'd caught obviously made her even hungrier. Her teeth sparkled and glinted in the diminishing sunlight as ominous clouds passed over her head. A grin spread across her thinly painted lips and her silver body seemed to shine in the gloomy day.
She pricked her eye brows as thunder shot down from the sky in a streak of light. Oh thunderstorms. She would have loved to be one, to physically rain down on her subjects and throw bolts of lightning at whomever she pleased and watch them singe and fry. She knew that this would sound cynical so she never voiced her opinions, especially after her mothers death by electrocution.
Of corse, that was the twolegs fault not mother natures. She watched the dry ground with little clumps of snow be slaughtered by hardening rain. It was more like ice, slicing into the snow and breaking away chunks of it. She swallowed what was left of the vole she'd caught and picked up the other pieces of prey; a swallow, a mouse, a fish, and another- larger fish. Satisfied with her catch, she walked out into the hard icy rain.
She was a sleek silver cat; her body was made to be thin and lithe. Her tail was non-existant but that was her only flaw- and she could pull that off well. As she walked calmly through the icy pelts of heavens creation she could feel her pelt become heavy. Her short, thin, silver fur was no match for these leaf bare conditions… and she knew it very well. But still… she walked quietly and calmly, one foot in front of the other, sashaying across the clearing.
Her mouth, aching from the extra load of prey was the first to drop when she saw something, someone, else in her den. Well, it hadn't been her den… she'd only seen it on the way to her hunt that day, but she had liked the looks of it and had planned to hallow it out and make a nice home for herself… or the time being any way. But no.. some sku- no it was a cat. Was in there.
She walked up, nose to nose with him. Her orange eyes bright and the rest of her body a glowing dark silver. She stared him down for the longest time. This tom… was actually quite cute. She let a grin slip her visage and a "heh" escape her lips. Her eyes were non moving from his face… she was intent on finding out as much as she could about him before he began speaking. To her, a cat always looked better before they started opening their traps.
But he was cute.
And she was determined to get the den to herself.
"Hello there," she mewed deeply walking around him… still in the icy rain. He smelled of something strange… something that reminded her of her old twolegs. So he's a kittypet… wonder if he's hostile… She knew she could out-run even the fastest warriors in the clans! But she wasn't sure about fighting. She sat down to lick her white paws, which were now red with blood. Picking up her prey she tossed it inside of the make-shift den and walked in herself, shaking her fur dry.

He raised a brow. His Blue eyes stared into hers. He knew how this worked. When a She-cat wanted something. A proper gesture would be to give it to them. However that's not how he rolled. He would play his cards right and get the shelter from the rain. A warm purr formed in his throat and he stood up. wrapping his feather tail around the she-cat."Hello to you too...." He mewed softly into her ear.
He laughed to himself and moved away. How would he get her to leave now. He tilted his head to the side and looked at her again. He saw that look. He chuckled and moved closer."My dear, you are so beautiful in this darkness.." He pressed his fur against hers."Your eyes remind me of a dying sunset. So pretty..." He mewed in a hushed whisper.
It would have been more polite if he told her his name. However introductions could come later. He had other important things to do. Like getting her to leave him alone. He found this cave first and he would not be the first to leave. She would go first. He had this idea. A horrid plot.
The tom unsheathed his claws and looked at her." I saw the way you looked at me. I am know pet of a two-legs. I live on my own. His claws flexed and he smiled."What brings a beautiful young kitty cat like you out here?" He mewed softly.

The she cat stared at him as he moved closer. She did not feel uncomfortable because she was fairly sure that he operated in a similar way that she did. It didn't matter how you got it, as long as you got it. It was a philosophy of her mothers… true, the silver she-cat was a result of her mother's reckless behavior.. but her mother never minded it when Que stuck around and listened to her talk with her friends. Her mother was always so uncaring and neglectful of Que that she had gotten used to taking care of herself early on, and she'd grown up much to fast. She'd acted like her mother since she was a mere six months of age, and it had worked for her up until now, so why should she just dump the theory down the drain.
Saying, in such a sweet voice, all that he was saying- this skunk cat was making only a fool of himself. She heard not a word of his saying other than Dying and her eyes flashed for a second before she realized that was probably just a lame way to pick up she-cats from where he was from. But Que had lived around this area for long enough to know that no she-cat was as nice as she was, even if she was manipulative and was looking out for herself… that was as nice as it got.
When he didn't announce his name she felt slightly dejected. She frowned and then turned away from him… looking into the clouds. She was not interested in him any longer. He was cute at the time, but now she didn't care… she knew what was in his thughts, he wanted the den as badly as she did, but she wasn't giving it up.
Pretending as if she didn't even realize he'd been talking to her, she rolled into a ball, surrounding her fresh prey and began to chew on it… once she had finished with the sparrows beak, she spit it across the den- making it her own. He may have thought it was his, but there was no way she was giving it up. A male could take it better than a she-cat. A cat with fluffy fur better than one with a thin short pelt… and certainly one as haughty as he could take it better than she could.
She grinned and then scratched behind her ear.
"How boring and dull," she moaned to herself quietly as to not let him in on what she was thinking.
What brings a beautiful young kitty cat like you out here?]/sub]
His claws had not phased her one bit. She thought she was every bit the better cat than he was… and she called his bluff. If it did result in a fight, she had positioned herself so that she could dart right out of the den, but she also knew a trick or two with herbs that would get him out of the den just as fast as she would move.
"What brings me out here? The same thing that brings you."

"Oh really? Are you so sure about that? It looks like you are here to make this your home, I am merely here to make this a camp." He laughed and licked the she-cat between the ears. His mew was low and deep, and as well as attractive. A grin spread across his muzzle. His blue eyes had a sparkle to them. He had something planned. However it may not have been to obvious.
"My name is Pepe, you might have seen an auburn she-cat with black markings, thats October, my sister. We grew up in a forest a moons travel from here." Pepe walked away from her and looked around his eyes scanned the large tree that he was underneath. There was plenty of space and plenty of holes to make dens.... he nodded and walked back."Your going to have to leave...." he mewed. He looked outside and saw that the clouds would not be changing through any time soon.
"I don't care if you get wet. This is my camp. However if you would like to join the clan of Pepe, you may." He added."But nothing smart, if you wish to reject the offer, then leave." He mewed however it had no tone of harshness. It was soft and attractive like always.
