Helping a new found friend

Circus gave a little grin. Apparently Ghostkit was more welcome now. Yes, she actually wasn't an outcast to everyone.

The young kit blinked before actually speaking. "Hello," she said in her quiet voice. "Are you going to stay with us?"

There came the question. "I don't know. Right now, I hurt my paw you see..." Circus mewed, trailing off.

Ghostkit's curiosity overcame her and she moved closer to Circus. "How did you hurt it? Does it hurt a lot? Do you want me to get you some freshkill? Can I do anything to help?" Her questions came out in a blur as she hurriedly spoke in hushed tones.

Circus smiled. The kit was actually really nice! She sighed a bit, remembering how she hurt it. "Well, I got it jabbed on a rock. And some freshkill....are you sure it won't disrupt the other clan members?" she said sheepishly.

"I'll help you!" Blurted Thistlekit. Tired of standing there and not even being noticed. She pushed her way past Ghostkit gently, grinning with pleasure. " Are you really gonna stay with us?" and without even waiting for an answer " If you do, I can get fresh kill for you everyday" Her ears were perked with excitement, and her eyes filled with curiosity and welcome.

Circus smiled. The kits were all so nice. But she was a loner...right? "Thank you," she answered, not facing her other statement.

Ghostkit sent a small glare in her sister's direction. "Its not a problem for you to have some of our freshkill. You can't just not eat." With that last comment she padded away with her tail in the air and returned with a rabbit that was larger then her. She dropped it at Circus's feet and looked at her expectantly with her wide blue eyes.

Well, that was big! Circus hoped the kit didn't have any problems carrying it. "Wow, that's bound to be yummy!" she said, gratitude in her voice. She dug in, the smell mesmerizing her.

Ghostkit sat proudly, a glint of pride and satisfaction in her eyes as she looked at her sister.

Turning away from the glare her Ghostkit sent her, she twitched her ears . When she had padded away she took a better look at Circus, still trying to be friendly. Thistlekit eventually lost interest and nestled down onto the soft feathers and bedding of the nursery. Her pink tongue rasped over her pelt with slow movements, grooming with even strokes. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Circus devour the rabbit that Ghostkit had brought for her. Then stopped; staring back as her sister peered at her.

Circus watched the quiet exchange between both siblings.

Fallingwater shook he head softly as she watched her two daughters interact. Before padding over to Ghostkit and picking her up by the scruff of her neck. She set her down gently before rasping her tongue over the kit despite her protests.

Thistlekit smirked silently, quietly sneaking out of the nursery. She wondered if any of her other siblings were still playing. She shot a careful glance back at Circus, but she didn't seem to be paying attention. oh well she thought I wonder if she is really going to stay here With a flick of her tail she bounded off into the grass.

Circus looked amused. The kits were quite amusing. "May I take a nap?" she asked softly, not wanting to wake any others who might be there.
