Creekstar woke up in a daze, after having a dream about twolegs. It had been odd, but it didn't matter. As a Clan leader, she knew that there were more important things to be worrying about. The morning was calm and quiet. No wind stirred the trees, although it smelled of the breeze. (hah it rymes, sort of) Creekstar decided to come out of her den. Surprisingly, no cat was up. She sniffed the air. All dozing, although it wasn't even dawn. The dawn patrol should leave soon, all the same.
Around sunhigh, Creekstar had the odd feeling of being watched. She quickly skirted the camp, but the feeling ebbed away, and Creekstar felt silly. RiverClan was perfectly safe. Creekstar crawled into her den. She just sat, thinking for awhile. Still no breeze had picked up, and it would be yet another hot and sticky day. She figured maybe she should talk to one of her cats about the borders, but lay down anyway. The weather made her tired. If anyone had anything to say, they could come here and say it.

The blind warrior slipped silently from the warrior's den. Yet again there was not even a trace of a breeze and the day was already hot and sticky, the moisture clinging to her soft pelt. She heard her leader's soft breathing along with the slow breathing of her clan mates. The sun had just begun to rise, and life began to stir in the quiet world around her. Phantomspirit gracefully set her haunches on the warm ground, listening to the waking of the world.
In the nursery she heard the soft, quick breaths of the little kits, hoping that one of them would be her apprentice. Her heart fell as she thought that whoever that kit was might not be content having her as a mentor, feeling as though the blind cat couldn't teach them the skills they needed well enough. She wondered if she would ever have an apprentice, maybe she wouldn't be a good enough mentor.
Pushing aside these thoughts she slipped closer to the camp entrance, focusing her entire being on listen to the soothing sound of the river flowing past, imagining how the rising sun would make the cool waters look. For her, imagining was enough, she never once wished for sight. She saw the world differently because of her blindness and she that this was how she was meant to be.

Creekstar heard the camp entrance swish. A cat had slipped out. She decided to get up and see which cat it was. Sniffing the air, she realized it was Phantomspirit, the blind warrior... the RiverClan leader began to think about the blind she-cat. She was a good warrior... Creekstar wondered if she should give her an apprentice. It wouldn't be fair not to, but she didn't pity the blind cat... but Creekstar knew she needed a blind or half blind apprentice so that it would be easier for both of the cats to learn. The two, apprentice and mentor, would need to work together, and if that was going to happen, Creekstar needed to choose who would work best with Phantomspirit. Finally Creekstar slipped away to find Phantomspirit.

Phantomspirit moved swiftly through Riverclan territory, sniffing the air to see that all was well. It wasn't an official patrol but it could still be useful. She also enjoyed the peace of being alone, with no one around to judge her. Her mind wandered back to her days as a kit and anger rose within her. She remembered sitting there, the world before her eyes black, and listening to the other kits playing together. She remembered trying to join them only to be pulled back gently by her watchful mother, that cat that made her kit hood miserable. She knew her mother cared and was only worried for her safety but it was still cruel. Her father hadn't been much of a help either and so she spent her young life without knowing the skills she needed to survive. Instead she listened and she learned the value of patience.
A familiar scent drifting through the air snapped the young she-cat back into reality. It was Creekstar, her noble leader, the cat everyone in the clan looked to. She was probably wondering why Phantomspirit had slipped out of camp. She sighed and sat down smoothly, waiting for her leader to find her.

Creekstar sensed anger pulse from the she-cat in front of her, who had suddenly stopped. The RiverClan leader began to feel guilty. "Did you want to be alone? I... err..... was just...." She stopped, not sure what to do next. So she tried again. "I'm sorry I followed you. It's getting late, and I just..... I guess I want company. I feel so odd.... the Clan.... not everyone respects me. I feel so odd. When I try to address them, I start to get scared... some cats hate me..... nothing's working out the way I want, and-" She stopped again, realizing rambling wasn't any way to solve her problems, and this cat probably didn't want to listen to them anyway.

The blind cat turned to face Creekstar, feeling how uneasy she was. She listened silently to her leaders worries, knowing that what was being said was true. She felt empathy for her, knowing the feeling of being judged as unworthy by others and being unable to gain their respect. "It will just take time," she whispered quietly.
"They will come to see that you are the one needed to lead Riverclan. Don't dwell on what they think of you, prove to them that you deserve to be leader. Respect them and they will come to respect you as well."

Creekstar stared at the blind cat. With a jolt, she realized that Phantomspirit was going through the same thing she was.... just in a bit of a different way. 'mouse-brain', she muttered to herself. She was so stupid not to realize it! "Thank you so much.... I'll take your advice. But I don't know how I can prove something that.... important."
OOC: My gosh, Lone, that was really deep..... I don't really take time on my RPs, (if you couldn't tell XD) and that's like... perfect.

Phantomspirit sighed as Creekstar relaxed. As she listened to her response words began to spill from her mouth yet again.
"Just continue as you are doing. In time they will learn that you were doing the right things all along. Be confident in what you are doing. If you aren't confident they will sense that in you, at the unconscious level they will doubt you and that will surface for everyone to see."
She spoke softly in a soothing voice, the calmness of the surrounding world flowing through her to calm her leader. "Be patient and things will fall into place, it is your fate to lead this clan. You just have to show everyone else that."
[ooc] Oh thanks, half the time I don't pay to much attention to what I write. Do you think really hard when you post.

OOC: I honestly don't take time at all. For me, RPing is the more... minor part of the site. I just like to meet people and have fun.
Creekstar remained silent for a moment. Then she said, "Being leader is such a great honor. But it's a bit... scary. It's good to know that I have great Warriors to support me." She flicked her ears to Phantomspirit.

OOC//Sorry if I'm intruding (is that the right word?)
Moonlight yawned as he shook off his dreams, and exited the warrior's den. He saw Creekstar and Phantomspirit by the camp entrance and wondered whether he should go over. After a few moments of deliberating, he decided to just sit where he was and wait until he was needed.

Phantomspirit sensed that it was almost dawn and nodded to Creekstar for her kind words. "We'll always be there to help," she whispered before speaking louder. "We should probably head back to camp, its almost dawn and the camp will fill with life."

The pretty black warrior nodded. "Good morning," she replied smoothly, his scent and voice identifying who he was to the blind cat.

"Hello, Moonlight," Creekstar smiled as she went on,"Phantomspirit and I were just taking a bit of a walk." She looked to the two cats, and then said,"I agree, Phantomspirit, we should be getting home and resting a bit. Do you two want any fresh-kill?'
OOC: No muse whatsoever. Just one of those days.

Moonlight twitched his nose, amused, as his tummy rumbled. "There's your answer" he mewed. He stretched his legs out, they were stiff after a long sleep and he needed to walk a bit more. "Hunting anyone?"
