Chase, as he liked to be referred to, was more of an air-head warrior. Break a couple hearts, fight a couple battles, and come out on top. Unlike some of the others in the forest Chase was known for is laid-back attitude and never doing more than he was expected. What good was an apprentice to him? He didn't know the first thing about teaching. He had spent most of his apprentice days goofing off and just barely make it passed the checkpoint..._ - _ - _ -_ Hey! You! Kid! His voice carried far across the clearing. He set off at a trot and reached the apprentice in a matter of moments. Brackenpaw, right? He gave off a lop-sided grin. By some odd twist of fate, I'm your mentor! Rumors got around, though some of them maybe true, Chase didn't spend the time to sort through them. He didn't expect the kid to be to excited. Well I guess we should get going. He flicked his long sleek tail towards the entrance. His green eyes glowed mischief on his mind. Chase, by the way. |

Maple brown eyes softened when he saw that Rosepaw,excited to get a mentor had yet to have one. However his gaze turned to Cloudchase."Hey! You! Kid! Brackenpaw curled his lip and growled."Lets get something straight chase.." He mewed while flicking his mentors shoulder with his tail."I am not to be called kid.... For one I am Rockfalls younger brother...Yea the one that save our clans butt when Riverclan attacked and risked his life for it. He would have been this clans leader...and Second.... Just because your a warrior does not make you 'better' than me in any way shape or form. As far as I'm concerned your a cat im a cat your from shadowclan I'm from Shadowclan we are all the same. And Third...ill call you what I wish...now that you know that I think we will get along just fine now won't we?"

His happy-go-lucky demeanor evaporated. And second, Chase mimicked him, Because I am a warrior it's my job to train you, meaning I know something you don't or more about it. He leaned forward baring his teeth and the apprentice, And I for one am not equals with cats who cannot show respect or humility. He straightened up, Just my luck. He thought. The rough and bitter apprentice... We might get along someday. But not today. You will wait to start training. Wether or not Brackenpaw left camp on his own or stayed at camp, Chase wanted nothing to do with him. |

Brackenpaw stood up tall bringing his nose nearly to his mentors before stepping back down."Doesn't hurt me any.. Rosepaw will stay with me, and we will train in the camp center. You won't be able to handle me as an apprentice Chase and I will make sure of that. His Maple eyes burned with a passion before he turned around his eyes bright for Rosepaw and his heart dark towards his mentor.and we will never EVER get along chase./...

Chase's hackles rose but he merely said, You won't ever become a warrior without being properly trained by your mentor. He swallowed at the name of the apprentices. He always avoided talk about female in the camp, his personal past with female never ended well. Most of them ended with a shattered girl and a confused Chase. How did he just get bored of them? His eyes unfocused and then refocused, frenzied. Learn a thing or two from Rosepaw, and maybe you'll turn into a half decent cat. he seethed, though the tone was half-hearted. His dig and compliment seemed empty and hollow, as if the words held no meaning without the cutting voice behind it. His thoughts already so far away...
