Sunlight filtered slowly through the leafy canopy of the apprentices den, shifting so that it cloaked the tabby she-cat in it's warm embrace. Memories were stirring idly in her mind, the gentle breeze unsettling her rather fluffed-up pelt, as she stretched out across the moss nest, stifling a yawn which threatened to break out across her maw. More duties, more training, more work. Toying with the idea of escape Duskpaw began to lick rhythmically at her fur, cleaning it for immediate inspection when she escaped the clutches of her sleeping self. Green orbs penetrated the opening into Thunderclan camp, the busy goings-on of cats scampering around outside indication that she was one of the last to wake. That, and the empty nests which surrounded her. "And they say no rest for the wicked" she muttered, rising and shaking out her pelt before trotting into the clearing, head and tail held high. The day was glorious for newleaf, the undergrowth thickening and the calls of birds and rustle of prey the only sounds in the forest. Perfect for hunting and for the clan to thrive. A little rain would be welcome, but not today, not now, not while there was a chance of being full again. Surveying the camp, Duskpaw wondered if Sparrowbreeze had already left; their training had been only in small amounts, and she was eager to catch some mice for the fresh kill pile, not to mention stretch her legs.

Sparrowbreeze walked to her apprentice, her head held high. She was the daughter of Icefeather and Ravensfeather, two very loved members of Thunderclan. Her ebony fur shone in the suns despiteful rays. Hi, Duskpaw, She said excitedly. The young apprentice was in fact her first.
OOC:: Sorry In a BLAH mood.

OOC: Don't worry, so am I (:
Sparrowbreeze's usually matt black pelt shone in the obscure suns rays, almost a silvery grey in colour when put under such intense inspection. Duskpaw watched in fascination as the lean muscle stretched beneath her hide, her trot dignified as she made her way over to her apprentice. Duskpaw's green eyes shone at the excitement in her mentors voice, her tail flicking impatiently, "Hi Sparrowbreeze" she uttered quickly, dipping her head respectfully. "I was wondering if maybe we could go hunting? I'm starving!" It was true. Ever since her joining the clan from the rouges she had eaten nothing but the prey allowed to her by the warrior code; the mice seemed smaller than the ones she used to catch, but with the coming newleaf, they surely would plump up a little.

Sure thing the unusually happy she-cat responded walking towards the camps exit. Her feathery fur fluffed occasionally due to leaf-bare's chilling wind.

Duskpaw nodded, and trotted quickly after her mentor, the chill wind stirring her fur and causing something to flutter inside of her. Don't be ridiculous, she scolded herself, ears flicking as she picked her way easily out of camp, the gorse tunnel pressing lightly on either side of her tabby pelt, chest fur fluffed out in an attempt to stop the occasional thorn from piercing the skin.
