Mystickit rolled onto her back, all four paw in the air as she batted at a fallen leaf. Her bright laugh filled the camp as she entertained herself. Rolling to her paws she batted the leaf across the camp, imagining that it was someone she could play with. She stopped when the wind picked up and blew away her leaf. Now she sat silently, hoping that someone would come along that would play with her. She watched as the warriors took their apprentices out for training and she felt a bubble of excitement within her. It wouldn't be long before she became an apprentice. Then she could have some real fun exploring the forest outside the sheltered camp.

Bluestorm: Bluestorm padded out of the warriors' den, blinking drowsily into the sunlight. A leaf blew past the black tom's face, and he turned towards its starting location. Through lightning-blue eyes, he spied a small calico kit with wide green eyes. Mystickit. Smiling cheerfully, he padded towards her. "Hello, Mystickit," he mewed. "How are you?" He flicked his tail, hoping she was still young enough to want to chase it. He loved when kits did that. And he didn't have an apprentice yet, so he had plenty of time to play.[/size]

Mystickit jumped on the warrior's tail, still too young to resist. She looked up guiltily when she realized what she did. "Hello. Its so nice out today."

Bluestorm: He smiled when she jumped on his tail. Flicking it out from under her paws, he twitched it away from her. "It is," he agreed. "It's a good day for games." Backing away from her, he crouched down, ears flattening playfully. "Would you like to play, Mystickit?" he mewed.

Mystickitwhipped her tail from side to side. "I would love to play," she said as she too crouched down. The muscles in her legs bunched and she pounced at the warrior, her small paws outstretched.

Bluestorm laughed and rolled onto his back like she'd knocked him off his paws. Actually, her attack was quite impressive for a kit her age. He batted at her, careful not to hit too hard, then rolled back onto his belly, crouching down. "Good, Mystickit," he mewed, smiling. Jumping up, he pounced at her, watching her carefully to make sure he didn't accidentally crush her.

Mystickit rolled to her back, her small paws trying to bat at Bluestorm's belly as she would learn as an apprentice. She noticed how careful he was being with her and suppressed a giggle. She squirmed beneath the powerful cat, attempting to escape from beneath him.

Bluestorm purred and let Mystickit up. "If you're opponent is larger than you," he mewed, "You should go limp, like this." He let his legs go liquid and fell over, laying completely still on the ground. "It'll fool them into thinking you've given up. They'll get careless, and you can find a weak point." Getting back up, he smiled at her, wondering why he was teaching her this. Because you don't have an apprentice, mouse-brain, he thought.

Mystickit looked at him with gratefulness in her eyes. "Oh, okay." She tried to think of the cat her mentored before realizing that he didn't have an apprentice. "Maybe when I'm older you can be my mentor."
