its time to leave behind all the filthy lies of a life gone by...
INDIGO* ORPHANS }
# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite BEXX yelped. Hissing she muttered a minimal curse from her homeland. She picked up her right paw. Its torn pad gushed with blood. Who knew vole teeth were so sharp? She licked up the blood and looked around for cobwebs, she knew it helped the bleeding to stop. There were none in one piece. She had learned quickly that it was rather easy to track down any member of her new found group. Most of them were rogues, stealth wasn't required. Broken underbrush and shredded cobwebs, along with rotting remains of past meals littered their paths. She found it slightly detestable. She, herself, was untrackable. Looking down she saw a new spurt of blood oozing onto her dark pad. She licked at it, making a face at the undesirable taste. Hastily she plucked a leaf off a bush with her teeth and placed it gently on the ground, making sure no dirt got on it. Then she flipped her wounded paw over and pressed it down onto the clean leaf, hoping to block off more blood flow. What a useless say. First a fiesty vole, which sat a couple paw-lengths off, and now she couldn't even find a cobweb in one piece. The blood that had sneakily spilled out was drying on her pawpad, making it feel chalky and tight. But when she picked up her paw she found to her small delight, that the bleeding had indeed stopped, dried blood sealed off the cut. Her paw was still a little tender when she stepped down on it, but if she was careful, she could get back to camp in one piece. I hate voles... she muttered, she picked up the small vole, tossing it in the air and then catching it, lodging it deeply into her fangs, but careful to spare to not spare the blood. She didn't think she could take anymore. Just then there was a rustle in a little ways off. Despite her throbbing paw she tossed the vole into the nearest bush and shot off after the noise.
She moved flawlessly and soundlessly as she narrowed in on her quarry. Then the sound of moving stopped. She halted, her tail raised straight up and her neck high, her aching paw in midstep, she had forgotten the pain until now. She didn't bother to scent, it wouldn't help her. She hadn't been around long enough to know each scent by name, but merely knew that by the small smell of Lachance that she had caught on accident, that the one she tracked was from Covens Elite. She cocked her head to the side and took a small step. One step she did without looking. And suddenly she found herself sprawling, head over heels, literally, into the small aclove of moss grass. She found herself winded, and lying, stomach down, legs sprawled on the forest ground. Her stomach lurched at the pain that shot up her leg. She cursed in her native tongue.
my out of character : [/s] so yeah. the title was totally random, so don't ask about it...[/blockquote]

The murderous black and white she-cat looked down at the form of the cat known as Bexx. Her eyes glowed dangerously as she inhaled, the scent of dried blood overwhelming her other senses. Deathcall sat on her haunches, licking a white paw before speaking. "You may want to be more careful. Next time you might not get up from a fall like that." Her voice was ice cold and flat, she didn't care what became of this cat. Her ears flicked in annoyance, thanks to the noise of her fall all the prey had scurried into hiding.

Lachance saw his two coven mates and regarded them with something like an annoyed sigh. What trouble have we gotten into this time? He asked, his voice, like everything about him was uncanny. A soothingly quiet tone that reinforced power and confidence. His tail lashed, and his claws found their way into the dirt. We may not be a clan, but we are a group, we are to respect each other. He hissed, hearing only Deathcall's last words on the subject. His ears were plasterred against his head at the scent of the dried blood, wondering if one had been injured, or if the two had been fighting.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite Bexx glowered at the deathly looking she-cat. I don't come from around here, I'm not use to hunting in this terrain, or hunting at all. It wasn't my duty. I have to teach myself. she remarked stonily. But as soon as she heard Lachance she scrambled to her feet, her ears flattening as a sign of reverence drilled into her as child, now it was merely instinct.
If we had been fighting I wouldn't be on the ground. she said pointedly, guessing what was on his mind. And the blood would be from my pawpad. It was easy to tell what was on each cat's mind according to their facial expressions. The erie look that passed over the she-cats face had unnerved her, but Lachance had merely scrunched his nose at what Bexx thought was such a vile and tangy scent. She lifted her torn pad and licked it gingerly, her body feeling slightly battered. Her overall demeanor gave nothing away, but Bexx wasn't as rough-and-tough as other may have thought she may be. She teeth locked in an everlasting clench as she eyed first Deathcall and then Lachance.[/blockquote]

Deathcall glared at the other she-cat, annoyed by her excuses. It wasn't like she was used to hunting in this terrain but you didn't see her falling all over the place. "I would be too sure of yourself, you seem more like a delicate flower then a tough warrior." Her voice was cold and hard, hate dripping from every word spoken. In her eyes this cat was completely useless, hopefully that would change soon or something tragic might happen.

Lachance hissed loudly at their responses to each other. Did you not hear I word I said? He growled, his teeth snapping on air. I am not going to have two Elite Fighting over child like things. Understand? His tan-brown fur ruffled around his shoulders, his ears flattened against his head in anger at the two faes.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite Her breath caught. The phrase came roiling through her head. Yes, she had been trained to be cunning, dangerous, but not in force but in wit. She swallowed the bile-filled words. Of course I heard you, Lachance. her eyes blazed and didn't leave Deathcall's face. She finally broke her stony posture and nodded ever-so-briefly at her leader. Perhaps I might work at becoming a tough warrior, you must excuse me. she tossed Deathcall's words back at her, ignoring the kit-like urge to stick her rough pink tongue out. She turned, her insides fought the opposite way, wanting to turn and attack Deathcall. A fight to the death just to show her she wasn't some pansy who would turn and run away. But her mind remind intact. She was not running, she was turning away before she did something purely impulsive and stupid.

Lachance stood straighter as if he were going to follow her should she run away. He shot Deathcall an annoyed look through his icy blue depths. Dont make this mistake again. He murmured loud enough for both of them to hear, determined to hide the newfound protectiveness he had established mentally over Bexx a secret.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite Bexx didn't need to look back as she started away. Her chest felt a little heavy. She wasn't good with this type of stuff. She was good at being strictly business. So maybe, just for once, she would work on fighting and hunting techqniques. She plodded along the unseen path when only a few seconds had passed, she heard Lachance's voice rumble. Her brain was too fogged with thoughts to pick out words, but she caught his tone and that was enough. She sighed and forced her way deeper into the forest, gathering the pieces of her dignity on her way.

Lachance sighed, almost in true misery and followed her. His tail falling almost flat in the dust along the way. Bexx, wait. He murmured, just loud enough for her to hear. He hated talking loud, it bugged him. His silent feet matched hers, stride for stride easily.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite Bexx whirled around in astue surprise. Her thoughts had drifted and her senses with them, she hadn't heard Lachance padding after her, but his voice brought her down to Earth, through the canopy of trees and right back into her body. Oh, Lachance. Is there something you need? she asked slowly, her face burned a little bit. Why would her leader need anything from her. A seemingly useless creature unless called to battle planning. She looked at her paws, her calico pelt shimmered in the dappled sun. Nevermind. she said with as much energy she could muster.

You shouldnt let Deathcall bother you... He whisperred taking her side, even if she didnt see it. She knows she cant do what you can, and she points out your weaknesses to cover it up. He added. He looked at her, his ears alert and listening for any other sounds in the forest.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite I know... Bexx trailed off slowly. Her heart drummed a tiny bit faster at the small compliment she had recieved. But I can't help but know I'm not that great at these everyday things. she sighed as a bird skittered overhead chirping down at her as if to mock. Truth be told, Bexx was a great climber. The skill was used to survery the land on which the battle might take place. Her memory was stellar. Each pebble and fallen leaf ingrained in her mind. Maybe you could help me... If you don't mind... I know it's kind of strange asking. You could help me fight. I'll catch on quick. she sounded almost desperate, and at this point she didn't care. The rift between leader and follower melted away for her as only the firey passion, the desire, to become a great warrior filled her. If only her head were clear enough to know that fighting was not the only thing that filled her mind. A small spark fired in the back of her mind as she glanced hopfully at Lachance.[/blockquote]

Bexx... He murmured, glancing at her softening his eyes carefully. I cant. Id be so afraid of hurting you that i wouldnt teach you correctly. He added, his voice a sigh. He had never openly admitted to caring even the slightest bit about another cat or being, and it was a strange experience for him.

# BEXX # elite navigator strategist # covens elite Bexx turned and looked at him. Her eyes conveyed disipointment. I can hold me own. I'm not that bad... she said softly. She looked up at him. How about hunting? You can't hurt me at all that way... Her ears flattened against her head. Not in disgust or fight, but in hopefulness. She swallowed before adding a weak, Please. she felt like a kit, so she squared her shoulders. I'm not to be useless, Lachance. she said, a small note of defiance in her voice.
